Claude Serre - France

French cartoonist Claude Serre (1938- 1998) invented a style of humor in which the observation of behavior is extremely effective and the drawing diabolically precise. A true entomologist of knowing how to laugh, Serre tracks down the shortcomings of modern man with contagious jubilation. Gathered into thematic works, Serre’s drawings, more than 700 of which have been published by Editions Glénat, are imbued with a funny humor, and say a lot about our life, about the quirks and faults of each one. Serre aimed just and well and invites us to laugh at ourselves.
